Steps Involved:

1. Removal of Existing Roof: Our team began by carefully removing the old, broken tiles and stripping back the damaged underlay, exposing the roof structure beneath. This allowed us to assess any potential issues and make repairs to the wooden battens, ensuring a sturdy base for the new tiles.
2. Installing a Breathable Membrane: A weatherproof yet breathable membrane was added, ensuring that the roof could ventilate while also keeping water out. This added an extra layer of protection against moisture and improve insulation to the whole house.
3. New Timber Battening: We secured new wooden battens across the roof to replace the old, rotted ones that were sure to cause leaks or further roof damage. They also provide a solid foundation for the new tiles.
4. Laying the New Tiles: With the membrane and timber in place, we fitted new, high-quality concrete interlocking tiles in a sleek slate grey finish. These tiles are not only weather-resistant but also designed to lock tightly together, reducing the risk of leaks and improving the roof’s durability.
5. Ridge Tile Installation: To complete the roof, ridge tiles were installed along the peak, providing an additional layer of protection from water ingress.
